GREENBUSHES CHEMICAL GRADE PLANT (GREENBUSHES, WESTERN AUSTRALIA)
The oldest and longest continuously operating mine in Western Australia. It began operations as a tin mine in 1888. The focus moved to Tantalum in the 1940s, and then in the 1980’s the first Lithium processing plant was commissioned.
Process E & I has been involved in several upgrades at the Greenbushes mine site. This involved the electrical, instrumentation and control system design for the Lithium chemical plant upgrade (CGP1) and was completed in 2012. Process E & I has since been involved with the two most recent capacity expansions of the chemical grade facilities i.e. CGP2 and CGP3 plants.
